Slide ’n’ Click disposable mouthpieces with a non-return valve for Dräger Alcotest

These are the mouthpieces Dräger recommends for increased hygiene.

Key features

• Non-return valve. Air passes through the mouthpiece in one direction only, so the subject cannot breathe potentially contaminated air back in. The valve, touch-free fitting and easy removal together make up the Dräger Alcotest Hygiene Plus concept.
• Hygienic packaging. The packs are connected in a chain and separate at a perforation. A second perforation for opening each pack means the mouthpiece can be fitted without touching the part that goes in the mouth.
• Clicks into place. The grooved pressure surface makes correct fitting easy, even in the dark. An audible click confirms the fit, and the Alcotest is immediately ready for use again.
• Tamper-proof. The air outlet cannot be closed, so the result cannot be falsified when the breath sample is given.
• Safe distance. A spacer keeps the subject’s lips off the housing, and the sample can be given at a 90° angle so the breath does not blow onto the operator.
• Easy removal. After the test, the mouthpiece comes off cleanly with a flick of the finger on the spacer. The Alcotest 7510 even has a special ejector for this.

Compatibility

Alcotest 5820, 6000, 6820, 7000 and 7510, as well as the earlier Alcotest 3000, 5510, 6510 and 6810.

Standard mouthpieces without a valve are also available. With the medical Alcotest 6820 med and Alcotest 7000 med, only the special Alcomed mouthpieces are approved under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices (MDR).
