How we handle your personal data
1. Who the controller is

We process data in accordance with the personal data protection legislation of the Republic of Moldova (Law No. 133/2011 and Law No. 195/2024 replacing it) and, for visitors from the European Union, with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
2. What we process, for what purpose and on what legal basis

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising and we do not take automated decisions with legal effects on you. We do not ask for special categories of data (health data, for example) and ask you not to include such data in your messages.
3. The contact form and quote requests
The form on the “Contact us” page sends your message to info@labromed.md. The “Request a quote” buttons on product and service pages open this form with the subject already filled in. Only your full name, e-mail address and message are required; phone and subject are optional.
To send messages from the form we may use a specialised service acting as our processor: it forwards the message and does not use it for its own purposes. If you prefer, write to us directly by e-mail or call us.
4. Data the server collects automatically
As on any website, on every request the server records the IP address, the date and time, the page requested and information about the browser. These logs serve only to run and secure the site, are not combined with other data and are not used to track you.
5. Cookies and local storage
Our site sets no cookies of its own and does not track you. That is why you see no cookie consent banner.
We use a single browser feature (sessionStorage) to remember the sort order you chose in the catalogue. It stays in your browser, is deleted when you close the tab and is never sent to us.
Cookies may be set by the third-party services described below: by Google Maps when the “Contact us” page opens, and by YouTube after you press play.
6. Third-party services
- Hosting. The site is hosted on a content delivery platform that keeps the technical logs described above.
- Google Maps on the “Contact us” page. When you open that page, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies. The processing is described in the Google privacy policy. Our address is also given as text, so you can read it without the map.
- YouTube videos on some product pages. They do not load automatically: until you press play, all you see is a still image served from our own server, so YouTube learns nothing about your visit. After you press play the video loads in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and YouTube receives your IP address.
- Visit statistics. We use no analytics tools. If we add web analytics, it will be a cookie-free tool that identifies no individual, and we will update this page before switching it on.
Fonts, images and the other assets of the site load from our own server. Apart from the services described above, no page sends requests to other companies.
7. Who we share data with
Only those of our staff who need it in order to answer you or perform the contract have access to your data. Outside the company, data may be passed to:
- IT providers that host the site and send messages from the form, as processors, under contracts that forbid them to use the data for anything else;
- manufacturers or suppliers of the equipment, where this is necessary to prepare your quote, fulfil your order or handle a warranty claim;
- public authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these recipients may be located outside the Republic of Moldova. In such cases we make sure the transfer takes place under the safeguards required by law.
8. How long we keep data
We keep data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, within the periods listed in the table in section 2. Once the period expires the data is deleted or anonymised. Where the law requires us to keep documents, such as accounting records, we keep them until the statutory period ends.
9. Your rights
In relation to your personal data you have the right:
- to be informed about the processing and to access your data;
- to have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed;
- to have your data erased where there is no longer a basis for keeping it;
- to ask us to restrict the processing;
- to object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- to receive your data in a structured format so you can transfer it to another controller;
- to withdraw your consent where processing is based on it (withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing);
- to lodge a complaint with the National Centre for Personal Data Protection.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@labromed.md or to the postal address in section 1. We answer within the period set by law. We may ask for further details only to make sure the request really comes from you.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we add new services or change how the site works, or when new legal requirements appear. The version in force is always published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
