Alcotest 6000

The Dräger Alcotest 6000 is a professional breathalyser with a robust design, single-button operation and hygienic testing. It uses the same measurement technology as the breathalysers that police in many countries rely on for daily roadside checks.

Key features

• Breath alcohol testing made easy. All measuring functions are operated with a single button. Plain-text messages on the large backlit display guide you through the test, while LED and audible signals confirm the end of the test and the detection of alcohol.
• Fast results. The device is ready 4 seconds after switching on and shows the result 3–25 seconds after the sample is taken. Tests run with a mouthpiece (active mode) or without one: in passive mode the device analyses the air near a person or a container.
• The hygienic Slide ’n’ Click mouthpiece. It comes individually packed, fits easily with one hand, even in the dark, and is just as easy to remove. The shape of the device keeps the operator away from the exhaled air.
• Versatile and tough. The Dräger electrochemical sensor stands out for its very short response time, high accuracy and long service life. Analysis is reliable from −5 to +50 °C; the housing is rated IP54.
• Decades of expertise. Dräger has worked in breath alcohol testing for more than 65 years.

Approvals and registration

The device carries the CE mark and complies with the European police standard EN 15964, the requirements of the NHTSA (USA) and the US Coast Guard, and the Australian standard AS 3547:2019. In the Republic of Moldova the Dräger Alcotest 6000 is listed under no. I-0993:2018 in the State Register of Measuring Instruments as the modernised version of the Alcotest 5820.
