Alcotest 4000

The Dräger Alcotest 4000 is a breathalyser for responsible drivers. It relies on the same measurement technology as the police breathalysers behind more than 30 million tests worldwide each year, and shows within seconds whether you are fit to drive.

Key features

• Confidence before every journey. People often find out too late that alcohol is still in their system. With the Alcotest 4000 you can test yourself at any time: before getting behind the wheel, or before a check by the police or your employer.
• A fast, reliable reading. The DrägerSensor measures residual alcohol precisely. The measurement is started with the backlit button, and optional audible feedback guides you through the test. The device is ready 4 seconds after switching on, and the result appears 3–25 seconds after you blow.
• Replaceable mouthpiece. It is easy to fit and is protected by a cap; a new one is used for each person tested. The exhaled air passes through a channel from which only a small sample is drawn, so no alcohol stays in the device. The police use the same method.
• Always ready for use. Measurements are possible from −5 to +50 °C, and the housing is rated IP52.
• Compact size and low weight. At 50 × 133 × 29 mm and about 130 g the device fits into a pocket or the glove compartment of a car.
• Built for years of use. The Alcotest 4000 is made in Germany. A single calibration per year keeps the measurements accurate, however many tests you run.
