The Dräger Alcotest 6820 is a fast, compact professional breathalyser that meets the most stringent requirements of breath alcohol testing.

The Alcotest 6820 breathalyser

• Very easy to use. All measuring functions run from a single button. Plain-text messages on the large backlit display guide the operator step by step, and LEDs and audible signals confirm when the test is complete. Two menu buttons handle navigation and statistics.
• Proven sensor. The electrochemical DrägerSensor responds very quickly, is highly accurate and lasts a long time. Analysis is reliable from −5 to +50 °C, and at high alcohol levels the result comes fast in both active and passive testing.
• Practical design. The compact device is easy to hold and to operate with one hand. The mouthpiece can be fitted even in the dark and removed hygienically. The display stays visible to right- and left-handed users, in countries that drive on the left or on the right.
• Robust. Tough materials make it resistant to cold and moisture; the housing is rated IP54 and withstands vibration and shock to EN 60068 and MIL-STD 810F.
• Slide ’n’ Click mouthpieces. Dräger’s patented design rules out tampering with the result; the version with a non-return valve offers the highest level of hygiene.
• Data and documentation. The memory holds up to 5,000 tests. The optical interface sends results to the Dräger Mobile Printer without a cable, and USB transfers the data to a computer. Settings are configured in the device menu with a PIN.

The Dräger Mobile Printer

• Printing at the test site. The test result comes out on paper straight after the measurement, and the printer needs no external power source.
• Easy maintenance. The printer is operated with a single button and uses direct thermal printing, with no ink or ribbon; the paper is easy to change and running costs are low.
• Durable printouts. High-quality thermal paper keeps the text legible for 7 years; paper rated for 25 years is available on request.
• Flexible power. It runs on 4 AA alkaline batteries or NiMH rechargeables, which can be charged inside the printer.

Approvals and registration

The device meets EN 15964 (breath alcohol testers for the police), carries CE marking (EMC Directive) and withstands vibration and shock to EN 60068-2-6, EN 60068-2-27, EN 60068-2-64 and MIL-STD 810F. In the version we supply, it is configured to national requirements and entered under no. I-0969:2016 in the State Register of Measuring Instruments of the Republic of Moldova. On request it can be adapted to the rules of other countries.
